As we approach the end of 2021, we want to express our gratitude for our members and all the ways you make the Ogden Athletic Club a great place to be! We wish for you a wonderful holiday season and a happy New Year. We look forward to serving you in 2022 and providing you with a Happy and Healthy place to exercise, grow, learn and be inspired. December is here, do you still have some gifts to buy? We have something for everyone on your list. Send an email to [email protected] with your gifting wish and we will prepare a gift with a certificate including the details of their gift and an OAC shaker bottle all wrapped up and ready to share!
The OAC Gifting Options:
Tennis Lessons – Sign them up for a class or private lessons. Youth after school programs are offered daily for all ages and levels of participants. Adult classes and private lessons are offered throughout the day and evening. It's never too late to learn to play tennis! 4300' Sports Conditioning – Adult classes are held daily early morning, mid-morning and evening. This class will provide valuable training in power training and lifting techniques. 4300' Youth Weightlifting or Sports Conditioning – These 6-week classes, held two times a week, are perfect for youth athletes hoping to increase their strength and skills in the off-season or just to get stronger and make healthy habits for life. The next sessions begin January 17th and 18th. Contact Krystykka, [email protected] for more information.
Becky's Bootcamp and Aqua Bootcamp – Bootcamp classes are held M,W,F at 5AM or T, Th at 6AM. Aqua Bootcamp classes are held T, Th at 6PM. The next class sessions will begin the first week of January and are 8 weeks long. This includes nutrition information and body fat analysis at the beginning and end of the eight weeks. Personal Training – This is a great gift for everyone. Our experienced trainers work with people of all ages, youth to adults, experienced athletes or novice. Single one-hour sessions start at $60- or 30-minute sessions are $30-. Commit to 10 sessions and receive the 11th free. Contact Haley at [email protected] for more information.
New OAC Membership – Want to share your love of the club with a friend or family member? Buy them a month or multi-month membership and let them experience the club for themselves. In The Dome all month long, our athletes will be helping to trim the tree in the tennis lounge, be sure to stop by and check it out. Starting December 13th, our Elf on the Shelf is coming to stay. Keep an eye out for him and enter to win some holiday prizes (one entry per day per child). December 17 is the one day of the year that Ugly Sweaters rule! We're excited to share this special time of year with you!
At the Ogden Athletic Club we offer the newest technology in cycling training. The Stages Studio program allows you to experience a class that is specifically designed to challenge you at your own level. Our program starts the class with a short 1 – 3 minute Function Threshold Power (FTP) test, this helps set your individual level for the rest of class. So, whether you're an experienced ironman rider or this is your first time on a bike, the class will be set to your level.
To get the most out of this great program, we suggest you make an account with Stages Studio. You can now do it all through the StagesStudio+ app, found in your app store. If you don't have an account, click the register now link once the app is open. Make sure you click that you are a member and choose Ogden Athletic Club as your location. Once your account is set up you can pick which class you would like to attend and book the bike you would like to ride. Not sure which bike to choose? No problem, you can book your bike once you arrive in class right through the app! The benefit to booking a bike is that it will save your workout information so you can see your ride details and progress over time. It will also save your FTP so that you can use it for future rides or you can update it each time you ride. You will also receive an email immediately after your ride with your ride stats. Group Fitness is for everyone! It keeps you motivated, it helps you become consistent with your exercise, and it teaches you how to move properly. We have a ton of classes and variety for everyone to enjoy, all you have to do is show up.
With that said, not everyone feels comfortable jumping into group fitness for the first time. It can be intimidating. That's why this January we're giving you a safe start! Mondays from 11:00-11:30AM and Thursdays from 4:30-5:00PM we will be holding beginner classes. Each week we will teach you everything you need to know about one of our group fitness offerings and let you try it out with other beginners like yourself. You'll learn how to set up a BodyPump bar and step, you'll learn the moves for BodyAttack and BodyCombat, you'll get to try out our Stages Cycling bikes and learn how to use our StagesStudio system, and more!
It takes the scary out of attending your first class and provides confidence for you to transition into our regular scheduled classes. These classes are free, but we do ask that you sign up so we know how many to prepare for and we can help set up a plan of success for you, with your unique needs and wants. You don't have to wait until the New Year to start changing your nutrition and eating habits. Elevated Nutrition clients have already seen the benefits of having a coach over Thanksgiving, and they are looking forward to a stress and guilt free Christmas and New Year.

Krystykka provides the perfect balance between accountability and motivation. Her emphasis on consistent tracking (and knowing she will evaluate my choices) has been extremely helpful! Small Group Training is working with a personal trainer in a group of 4-6 people. This is a great opportunity to get your friends to work out together, push each other and have fun!

Youth between 6th and 8th grade are eligible to take our Junior Fitness Class, taught by one of our experienced personal trainers. The course is designed to provide best practices and safety information to prepare teens to use the weight room. Once completing the course, they will be given a pass to allow them to use the weight room without adult supervision. Children younger than 6th grade are only allowed in the weight room if actively exercising with a parent. Only one session needed, sign up at the front desk.
