February is American Heart Health Month and a great time to check in on your cardiovascular health. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, yet there are so many ways to prevent it. At the Ogden Athletic Club, one of our goals is to help you train for a healthy and strong heart for years to come. We have some fun ways to get you started this month!

 

A HEART-HEALTHY CHALLENGE

It's time to challenge yourself. The challenge is to ride 100 miles this month in our cycling classes. The challenge starts today and will run through Feb. 28th. On average if you take two classes a week for the 4 weeks of February you will hit this goal! If you hit 100 miles (we'll track it through the StagesStudio App) you will get your name posted on our leaderboard. Everyone who rides 100 miles will be entered to win prizes. You can book your bike (and thereby start tracking your miles) by downloading the StagesStudio+ app:

EARN YOUR OLYMPIC RINGS

It's time for the Olympics and we want to help you earn your rings. Explore all the things the OAC has to offer, then share your love of fitness and the OAC with your friends. During the week of Valentine's Day bring a friend in for free! Earn your "rings" and you'll be entered into a drawing to win great prizes. Contest punch cards can be picked up at the front desk and turned into a membership coordinator. Let the games begin!

Youth weightlifting and strength training has been shown to reduce the risk of injury, improve joint flexibility, core strength, and improve sports performance. Our youth 4300 weightlifting class is the best way to create a great foundation for the future, build strength, build confidence, and build resilience in youth athletes. We are currently in session, but our next session will start on March 14!

Our first Youth Strength & Conditioning session of the year is underway! Our current session filled up fast, but our next session will start on March 15. It isn't too early to start thinking about signing up! This class utilizes functional movements, speed and agility, conditioning, and weight training to provide the perfect base to elevate your kids to their fullest potential!
