The Ogden Athletic Club is a friendly place, and we love to see the positive impact and support extended to individuals around the club every day. We know everyone has their favorite person they see at the club, but we want to recognize the most impactful people. Think of the person that makes you smile, that is always friendly, cheering you on, or making your day. We want to know who that is! Click the following link to vote for one Member and one OAC Employee who regularly shows you THE LOVE! https://forms.gle/PU832GaHfnHxjuxJ8

The individuals with the most votes will be highlighted in next month's newsletter and receive a special Valentine from the OAC.

imgSaturday from 8:15-9:00 AM we will now be offering a Mat Pilates class. New to Pilates? Let us introduce you. Pilates is an exercise modality that involves a collection of low-impact exercises that coordinate movement and breath. The focus is on building strength and mobility, improving postural alignment, and strengthening core stabilizing muscles.

Mat Pilates provides a great introduction to popular Pilates movements and serves members from beginners to advanced. Our classes use body weight, light dumbbells, resistance bands, and/or other props to challenge or assist your movements. Mat Pilates exercises improve core control, strength, and stamina. Popular exercises include: hundreds, a variation on the common crunch where you do 100 pulses; leg circles, which challenge core stability; planks and side planks; plus single and double leg stretches. Come give it a try!

Welcome our newest addition to the Personal Training team at the OAC. Whitney has been teaching BodyAttack at our club for over a year, but an unkept secret is her Personal Training experience and expertise.

Whitney related, "I am very passionate about helping others with their fitness because of what it has done for me. I received my Personal Training Certificate through NASM in 2009, since then I have obtained my Fitness Nutrition Specialist Certification (NASM) and also my Corrective Exercise Specialist Certification (NASM) to enhance my training programs. I believe that working with a Personal Trainer can help individuals achieve goals, avoid injury and maintain a healthy lifestyle with programs designed specifically for each individual client."
