THE TENNIS DOME GRAND OPENING RIBBON CUTTING AND PARTY

Mark your calendars and join us for the Grand Opening of The Dome at the Ogden Athletic Club! We will kick off the week on Labor Day with a Full Week Free for guests. On Friday, September 10, we invite you to join us for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 11:30 AM. Then don't miss an unforgettable evening at The Dome Grand Opening Party, starting at 6 PM! The WSU tennis team, who calls the OAC home, will be there to help us celebrate. Come meet the players, or maybe challenge them to a match. There will be food, competitions, games, and prizes for the whole family. It's a great Free Friday night activity for the whole family, don't miss it!

It's a great time to try one of these classes because everyone is learning the moves together! ELEVATED NUTRITION: EVEN THE MOST EXPERIENCED NEED A GUIDE

Camille Kent has been teaching fitness classes for over 14 years. She joined the OAC team this January and has been bringing down the house in her DanceFit classes, building your muscle endurance in BodyPump and bringing the heat in her cycling classes. Fit, strong, knowledgeable and beautiful; she is unequivocally a fitness expert. But this fitness guru admits, even the most experienced can benefit from nutrition guidance. Camille decided this fall it was time to get focused. "I know what good nutrition is, what to eat and what not to eat, but I just needed to be held accountable and I wanted help dialing in my macro's (i.e. Carbs, Fats, and Proteins). With all the classes I teach, I wanted to understand the right nutrition for me to keep my energy up and to get the muscle tone I'm looking for. I also wanted to make sure I was at my peak performance, so that if I get sick from COVID or something else, I am in my best health to combat whatever comes my way."

They teamed up for a one-month nutrition program. "Krystykka had me fill out a questionnaire to get started so she could understand my activity level and other lifestyle and health factors. From there she built a plan specific for me and my needs. I was surprised at the number of calories she recommended, and it was more protein than I had ever eaten, but after a month I can already tell a difference. I have the energy I need to take me through my daily schedule, and I am already seeing a difference in my muscle tone. Having someone to report back to and keep me focused really helped me to see it through." Camille and Krystykka would meet weekly to check in and make any necessary adjustments.

Camille says she would recommend working with Krystykka to anyone! "She is knowledgeable and helpful. She customizes your nutrition parameters to meet your needs and, if you stick with it, you will see results."

WORKING THROUGH INJURY AND TRAINING FOR SUCCESS

Almost 2 years ago I experienced a significant calf strain which took me out of my tennis routine for about 3 months. I did not want to just sit at home, but I also did not want to cause more damage to my calf, so I contacted the trainers at OAC. One of the trainers worked with me; made sure I used correct form and worked around my injury. When I returned to tennis, I was amazed at how much my upper body and core strength had increased. The results from working with a trainer have been so beneficial that I have continued to work with a trainer.

My trainer has provided me with a variety of exercises and has given me the confidence to do them on my own. She always checks with me at the beginning of each session to see how I felt after the last session and has made last minutes adjustments to my workout if I let her know about issues. Another bonus to working with a trainer is accountability – I know that I have a twice weekly commitment. It helps keeps me on track.

Our youth 4300 strength and conditioning program is the perfect program to supplement with any sport! By combining functional movements, speed and agility, conditioning, and weight training we work to provide the perfect base to elevate your kids to their fullest potential! YOUTH 4300 WEIGHTLIFTING

Youth weightlifting and strength training has been shown to reduce risk of injury, improve joint flexibility, core strength, and improve sports performance. Our youth 4300 weightlifting class is the best way to create a great foundation for the future, build strength, build confidence, and build resilience in youth athletes. 6TH - 8TH GRADERS

Youth between 6th and 8th grade are eligible to take our Junior Fitness Class, which is taught by one of our experienced personal trainers. The course has been designed to provide best practices and safety information to prepare teens to use the weight room. Once completing the course, they will be given a pass to allow them to use the weight room without adult supervision. Children younger than 6th grade are only allowed in the weight room if actively exercising with a parent.
