We are excited to introduce the OAC TRAINING CENTER: your hub for specialized training and programs, offered to best fit your needs. We are also excited to announce we are now an official HYROX TRAINING CLUB!
WHAT DOES ALL OF THIS MEAN FOR YOU?
First, all specialized training programs will now be housed in the OAC TRAINING CENTER, located on the blue turf and black top within our indoor track. These programs will include Hyrox Power, HYROX, and Teen Strength Training classes, as well as our Small Group Training offerings of Les Mills Strength Development and Functional Strength. And this is just the beginning, additional youth classes, women’s classes, mobility classes, and sport-specific programs are on the drawing board. Each program is led by a certified trainer who guides athletes through the workout step-by-step.
Hyrox Power:
This is a high-intensity program involving functional movements, such as squatting, pulling, and pushing using a variety of exercises including calisthenics, Olympic-style weightlifting, powerlifting, and more. Workouts are built to be broad, flexible, and inclusive and are designed to be challenging while still safe and effective. The environment and programming provide a great way to learn to lift properly and have a community of people supporting and encouraging you along the way.
SO WHAT IS HYROX?
HYROX is a global fitness race for Every Body combining running and functional strength training to test a participant’s endurance, power, and cardiovascular fitness. While getting its start in Europe, HYROX is a rather new offering in the United States and is the fastest-growing fitness sport in America. Participants from all around the world compete in the exact same format. Dial up the fun and compete in a doubles race or 4-person relay. This makes this race and training style accessible to…like we said…Every BODY!
The race starts with a 1 km run, followed by 1 functional movement, which repeats 8 times, taking place in large indoor venues, creating a unique stadium-like atmosphere for all participants. The functional movements are simple and not technical to complete, and modifiable for any athlete or individual. This allows you to step into any class at any time and feel successful!
What’s the TRAINING CENTER pricing structure?
For the entire month of September, you can try any class on the schedule for just $4/class. We will be hosting a FREE WEEK Saturday, September 28th – Saturday, October 5th for members and guests.
Beginning in October the new pricing structure allows you to tailor our offering to your needs.
1 Class/week (Avg. 4-5 days/month): $20
2 Classes/week: $40
3 Classes/week: $60
4+ Classes/week (aka. unlimited): $70
